Sam
Sam is our director and teacher.
Sam has been working with kids for over 12 years now and absolutely loves it! She started working at an after school program right out of high school and has worked at various after school programs and preschools since then while continuing her education.
She has worked with many Alameda families at various schools including Harbor Bay Kindercare and, most recently, as director of Alameda Island Kids at Bay Farm Elementary. She is so excited to continue her work in Alameda and help kids learn and grow!
Sadiya
Hello families! I am Sadiya, a licensed Occupational Therapist with more than 18 years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities. My first job out of school was working with children with special needs in a classroom. Since then, I have worked extensively in-home, in classrooms and at clinics with children and have had a lot of fun doing it! At Little Butterflies, I will bring my experience to further enrich our preschool program to facilitate multi-sensory learning, making it fun, purposeful and a holistic learning experience for children.
Kaitlin
Kaitlin is our assistant teacher. She is happiest when she is outdoors, going on hikes, camping, and chasing sunsets. She enjoys reading and being at the beach. Kaitlin loves having the opportunity to work with kids every day and teaching them. She thinks kids are so fun to be with and finds it fulfilling watching them learn and grow. She is going to school with a vision on becoming an elementary school teacher.
